The New Master and Mistress
I think this passage is one of most horrific shown parts of slavery. It shows a everyday promblem that happened in slavery. Alot of slaves that were women couldn't have any choice in sleeping with their masters, like Linda. In this chapter a new slave master comes in and takes over named Mr.Flint. Mr.Flint had property of Linda in the sexual way but was owned by his daughter. I would feel like a animal not worth anything because I would be owned by a little girl. Slaves get putdown so much and don't have self confidence, being hated cause of skin color. In conclusion, in this passage Mr.Flint treats Linda like she is worth less than every white person, and he trys to take her virginity away but dosen't.

I think being owned by a child is a good point, but do you mean Dr. Flint? He's the one who makes advances at Linda. Mr. Flint is his son on the plantation.
I'd say this is a pretty good post Jamar. Good job, but it's Dr. Flint not Mr. I like how you brought up the fact that Linda was technically owned by the little girl, I hadn't thought about that.
