Blog – React to the attendance at Gatsby’s funeral. Why do the people who come, come? What is it meant to show us?
I am surprised about who all showed up to Gatsby's funeral. Nick remembered that Gatsby would have wanted a funeral so he planed one for him. There were many people who were in Gatsby's life that should of attended the funeral. Tom and Daisy didn't show up, Daisy was Gatsby's love and disrespected Gatsby in a horrible way for not coming to his funeral, neither did Meyer Wolfshiem or Klipspringer. Im angry how Kilpspringer sort of dissapperd and called Nick to get a stupid pair of shoes from Gatsby's house. This shows me that some people were just using Gatsby for what he had. Kilpspringer used him just to live in his house, and Daisy I felt was just playing with his mind to get what she wanted. The only peolple who attended were Nick, Gatsby father Henry Gatsby, Owl eyes and some servants. In conclusion, the only people that came were the people devoted to him and his true friends, this is meant to show us that some poeple aren't your true friends they might hand out with you cause your rich or popular. Last, people can't always have there dreams come true.

7-8 blog
• Read The Great Gatsby Ch. 7-8
Blog – These chapters are the climax of the novel. Explain how something mentioned earlier might have hinted at this happening?
Eventually I thought that there was going to be a confrontation. Parts of the climax included in these chapters are Myrtle’s death, Daisy’s baby, Gatsby death etc. There are many things that happened in chapter 7 and 8. I didn’t really have a hint towards what happened but I had a feeling. I felt that after Myrtle’s death Mr. Wilson was going to find the killer but wasn’t going to kill Gatsby. More than one thing happened, but the big picture is that everybody can’t have what he or she wants. Gatsby was left without his true love Daisy.

Chapter 6
• Blog – Nick tells us the truth about Gatsby in this chapter. Speculate why Gatsby makes up the lie, and why Nick decides to tell us at this point in the book.
I believe Gatsby makes up those lies so people wont judge him for what happen. People might stereotype him that he didn't earn his money the corect way, that he got it from someone else that he met. Also, people might not want to be his friend cause he used to be a janitor and he dropped out of college. Mainly, Gatsby dosen't want to tell people because he dosen't want people to judge him and also for some of his friends, he dosent want to tell them that he lied. It would be to late to explain his real backround and if he did they might not ever talk to him. Nick decides to tell the readers at this point because its the right time. If he told it too early, the readers wouldn't have made a good judgement of Gatsby, if he told too late the book would be as good as it seems. Lastly, Nick didn't tell earlier beacuse he felt he didn't have the right truth about Gatsby but now he knows the real truth about him so he told.
In addition, the yacht he saw, who was owned by Codey, inspired him to make some some money but lots of it since he lived in the wealthy world. So he thought of a way to get the money to join to mob. ( that wasn't a main focus though). Also, Nicks wants us to feel how he felt when he figured out this big lie, after all they went through and what Gatsby shared with him thats why he telling us now.

Chap 5 blog
Nick says in this chapter that Gatsby’s “count of enchanted objects had diminished by one”. What is he referring to? How has Gatsby lost it?
I think Nick might be referring to his enchanted objects that he has shared with Daisy before he left for war. For instance, i think his object that was diminished was his collection of his English shirts. The shirts were diminished in a way because he longed for his girl Daisy. In addition, I think he can be referring to the object of friendship and material objects. Gatsby lost his objects because he did not see Daisy or talk to her for a while. Also, he has lost other objects that you can share with friends and people but since he dosen't have many freinds he can't share those objects. Gatsby has lost them, because the objects just become old and can't share them or apperciate them.

Chap 4 blog
What does Nick mean when he says There are only the pursued, the pursuing, the busy and the tired.
Nick means that everyone in the book has been pursued by the oppiste sex or the charcter is trying to pursue another. The others that are not trying to pursue others are tired or busy with things. In this book people that have been pursued are Jordan with Nick, Daisy with Tom and Gatsby etc. All the other short lined charcaters have someone that they would pursue or hooked up with another person at a party. In, conclusion most of the chracters are hooking up if there not hooking up with another chracter there tired or busy.
