What do you make of the last chapter? Is this a happy ending for Huck and Jim?
I think that the last chapter is kind of good. Their are a couple of good things in this chapter and one bad thing. The good things are Jim gets his freedom. Jim gets chained up like a dog then finds out that someone cares about him because in Ms.Watsons will Jim is set free. Huck is just fine at the end. Huck goes back to the widow but wants to go on another adventure. Huck and Jim split up and go seperate ways.

Huck Finn 34-38
How does Huck start treating Jim now? Why?
I think Huck treats Jim a little different than he did earlier in the book. It was said that Huck thinks of Jim as a white person inside. Also in these chapters, Huck and Tom start making Jim do stupid things so Jim can escape. Huck agrees with Tom's idea that they should cut off Jim's leg to get him off of the chains( But they don't). The reason they want to do these things is because Tom thinks that Jim should be saved like people in stories were. Huck basically follows Tom's instructions on things they should do to save Jim.
